Each year for summer vacation, our family goes to Minnesota for 2 weeks. We do a lot of packing and getting ready for the long drive. The drive is about 9 hours long, but it is worth it.
The cabin is set back almost 6 miles in the woods. The resort has 13 cabins. Our cabin has 4 bedrooms and is covered in wood paneling. The windows have a great view of the lake. This cabin is special to me because we have stayed there for 7 years.
In our front yard we have a dock where we put our boat and go fishing off of. When I was 4 years old I caught my first fish off the dock. I feel very safe here because I am surrounded by lake and forest.
The lake is called Moose Lake, I don’t know why it is called that because there are no moose there. Although, one time we were driving to our cabin when a black bear ran across the gravel road.
My 2 favorite thing to do there is go to the beach and go inner tubing. The sand is soft and warm. The sound of the water washing up on the shore is very relaxing.
The owners of the resort are very nice. You can get 4 different flavors of ice cream there. When one of the flavors is almost out they let me and my sister eat the rest of it.
At this resort I am always happy because I am with my family.
The past 4 years we have been there it has rained and a rainbow appears. When it reflects on the lake it looks very pretty. After it rains it smells very pretty.
30ft off the shore there is a giant yellow floating tube that connects to a floating trampoline. Whoever can run across it without falling off gets a free root beer.
Almost every night we have a campfire and roast marshmallows. The fire pit is in our backyard.
It is very relaxing in the morning because the sun pours through the windows and you can hear the birds and the water washing up on the shore.
